United Methodist Women "Dorcas Circle"
Ministry and Outreach on a local and national level.
Prayer Shawl and Pocket Prayer Cloth Ministry
Handmade shawls and pocket cloths, prayed over and given to those who are Ill or facing life crisis. Letting them know that they are not alone. Most of the Pocket Prayer cloth's have gone to Military units both home and abroad.
3rd Saturday Community Dinner
We have a different menu each month and the cost of our dinners is a donation.
A good meal and good fellowship.
Emmaus and Kairos Communities
Members of our church support and participate in the "New-Ark" "Walk to Emmaus" Community - www.new-arkemmaus.org and Kairos Prison Ministries.
Community Vacation Bible School
We participate with the other church's in the community with VBS. Thornville UMC hosts the pre-school children, Grace Lutheran host all other classes and events
Other Ministries and Outreach
Support missions in Africa through UMCOR.
Help Support the UMCH, local food pantry, Help me Grow,
Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Host hospitality room during Thornville Country Fair
Provide meals to the sick.
Provide Bereavement meals for loved ones.
We Offer Bible Studies periodically throughout the year.
